Backorders & Availability

My color is on the backorder. Can I still purchase it?

Yes. If an item is available for backorder, you may place your order to reserve it. Once the item is back in stock, your order will be prepared and shipped as soon as possible. We’ll keep you updated with tracking information once your backordered item has shipped.

What does it mean when an item is on backorder?

A backordered item means it is temporarily out of stock, but more inventory is already on the way. Placing a backorder helps reserve your item so you are prioritized once new stock arrives. You do not need to contact us again after placing your order. Our team will take care of the next steps and send your shipment confirmation once the item is ready to ship. We do our best to provide estimated restock and shipping timelines when available, but these dates may vary depending on supplier, production, or shipping delays.

Product Quality & Hair Concerns

Why are my Extensions shedding?

A small amount of shedding can be normal, especially during the first few wears or when brushing the extensions. However, if the shedding feels excessive or unusual, please contact our customer care team. We’ll review your concern carefully and help guide you through the next steps.

The color is bleeding during the first wash. Is that normal?

Some excess color may be released during the first wash, especially with darker shades. This can be normal and does not always mean the hair color or quality has been affected. To help protect your extensions, we recommend washing gently with sulfate-free products, using cool to lukewarm water, and avoiding harsh scrubbing. If the color bleeding seems excessive or continues after several washes, please contact us so we can review your concern.

Choosing the Right Hair

How do I know which color to choose?

We understand that choosing the right shade online can feel difficult, and we’re happy to help. For the best color match, please send us clear photos of your hair taken outside under natural lightning. We recommend taking photos from the front, side, and back so our team can better understand your current color and recommend the closest match.

What is double drawn hair?

Double drawn hair means the extensions are fuller from top to bottom, giving a thicker and more voluminous appearance through the ends. This is different from a more natural tapered finish, where the ends may appear softer or thinner, similar to natural hair growth.

How long does my natural hair need to be to wear toppers or extensions?

We generally recommend that your natural hair be at least 6 inches long for toppers and 12" long for hair extensions for the best blend. That said, every client’s hair is different. If your hair is shorter, layered, thick, or blunt-cut, you may still be able to wear extensions with proper placement, styling, or help from a professional stylist.

Installation & Styling

How do I clip in my Morado Hair extensions?

Clip-in extensions should be installed by sectioning your natural hair and gently securing each weft close to the root without pulling or adding tension. For the most natural blend, start with the larger wefts toward the back of the head and use the smaller pieces around the sides. Be gentle when opening and closing the clips to avoid stress on your natural hair.

Can I use styling tools on Morado Hair extensions?

Yes, human hair extensions may be styled with hot tools. To help protect the hair, we strongly recommend using a heat protectant and keeping the temperature as low as possible while still achieving your desired style. Excessive heat can shorten the lifespan of the extensions, so we recommend styling with care and avoiding daily high-heat use.

Can my Morado Hair extensions be dyed?

Morado Hair extensions are made with human hair and have already gone through a professional coloring process. While they may be able to accept color, any coloring, toning, or chemical service should be done only by an experienced licensed professional. We do not recommend bleaching, lightening, or using harsh chemical treatments, as this can damage the hair and shorten its lifespan.

Please note that any coloring or chemical alteration is done at the customer’s own risk and may make the product ineligible for return, exchange, or quality claim review.

Can balayage, ombré, or highlighted extensions be dyed?

We do not recommend dyeing balayage, ombré, rooted, highlighted, or multi-tone extensions. These pieces have already been processed to achieve their final color blend, and additional coloring may cause uneven results, dryness, or damage.

Washing & Hair Care

Do I need to wash the extensions before wearing them?

There’s no need to wash them beforehand! Your extensions arrive perfectly clean, conditioned, and ready for your stylist to apply right out of the box. (Note: Just ensure your natural hair is clarified and completely free of heavy conditioners or oils right before your appointment).

Can I wash my Morado Hair extensions?

Yes. We recommend washing your extensions only when needed, such as when they have product buildup, feel heavy, or appear dull. Because extensions do not receive natural oils from the scalp, washing them too often can cause dryness. Use sulfate-free shampoo, hydrating conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and heat protectant to help maintain softness and longevity.

How often should extensions be washed?

All extensions should only be washed when they truly need it. Since they are not attached to your scalp, they do not need to be washed as frequently as your natural hair. Over washing may cause dryness, so we recommend washing only when there is noticeable buildup, dullness, or product residue.

After washing, how should I dry my clip-ins?

After washing, gently squeeze out excess water with a towel. Do not twist or wring the hair. Apply a lightweight leave-in conditioner, gently detangle from ends to roots with a wide tooth brush/comb, and allow the extensions to air dry whenever possible. If blow drying, use a heat protectant and low to medium heat. Remember: less is more!

Wearing & Maintenance

How long do Morado Hair’s extensions last?

With proper care, clip-in extensions may last approximately 4 to 6 months, depending on how often they are worn, how they are styled, and how well they are maintained. Using heat protectant, avoiding over washing, detangling gently, and storing the extensions properly can help extend their lifespan.

Can I sleep in with the extensions?

Unless they are semi-permanently applied. No. We do not recommend sleeping in all types of clip-in extensions. Sleeping in clip-ins may cause discomfort, tangling, matting, stress on your natural hair, and damage to the clips. For best care, remove your clip-ins before sleeping, swimming, or showering.

What about sleeping with semi-permanent applied extensions?

Yes. Semi-permanent extensions are designed to be worn while sleeping, but proper nighttime care is very important to help protect both your extensions and your natural hair. Before going to bed, we recommend gently brushing your hair to remove any tangles, starting from the ends and working your way up. Once detangled, loosely braid your hair or place it in a soft low ponytail to help prevent friction, matting, and unnecessary pulling while you sleep.

For best results, sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase, or use a silk/satin bonnet or scarf. This helps reduce dryness, frizz, and friction while keeping the hair smoother overnight.

Please avoid sleeping with wet or damp extensions. Going to bed with wet hair may cause tangling, matting, and added tension at the attachment points. Always make sure your hair and extensions are fully dry before sleeping. We also recommend avoiding tight buns, tight ponytails, or any style that pulls on the extension bonds, beads, tapes, or wefts while sleeping.

Night-time care tips:

  • Brush gently before bed (starting from the ends and working your way up).
  • Sleep with hair in a loose braid or low ponytail.
  • Use a silk or satin pillowcase, bonnet, or scarf.
  • Never sleep with wet or damp extensions.
  • Avoid tight hairstyles that create tension.
  • Keep oils, heavy conditioners, and leave-in products away from attachment points unless recommended by your stylist.
  • Follow your stylist’s maintenance schedule to prevent matting or slippage.

With proper care, your extensions can stay smoother, healthier-looking, and more comfortable between salon appointments.

Ponytails & Hairpieces

What is the difference between a wrap ponytail and a clip ponytail?

A wrap ponytail creates a more seamless, natural-looking ponytail. You place your natural hair into a ponytail, secure the ponytail piece, and wrap the strand around the base to conceal the attachment area.
A clip ponytail is often easier for quick styling and may feel more secure for higher ponytails. It usually attaches with a clip or comb and may include an additional tie or wrap for support.

Both options can create beautiful volume and length. The best choice depends on your desired style, comfort, and how you prefer to secure your ponytail.
